Transforming Churches, Transforming Lives

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” —Romans 12:2

November 8, 2018 was not just another day for the residents of Paradise, California. Of course they noticed the smoke, yet that wasn’t necessarily uncommon for this part of the country. But within minutes, they knew this day would be different. Their lives would be changed, and most of them forever.

For the members of Hope Christian Church in Paradise, this would be the day that transformed their congregation. It wouldn’t be just a few minor changes. Everything they did, where they did it, and how they did it would be transformed on that day.

Oftentimes, this is the way God works in our lives.

Throughout the stories in this issue of The Cornerstone, you’ll see the common thread of transformation. We believe when churches are transformed, scores of lives are transformed. And so we focus our energy on providing Transformational Capital.
