A Season of Miraculous Growth: NewLife Church’s Path to a Permanent Home

A Humble Beginning

What began in 2013 as a vision to reach the people of Arizona for the gospel grew into a journey of faithful reliance on God’s provision and blessing. Senior Pastor Ray McCormick and his family moved to Casa Grande and started NewLife Church (NLC) in 2015 under the conviction that God would use their passion for evangelism and discipleship.

“Our mission at NewLife is to make disciples who glorify God and impact the world.”

Launching in the lunchroom of Grande Innovation Academy with an attendance of 80, the small gathering of believers watched God grow their church year after year. By 2017, the church had expanded to two services and soon had to find a larger building. The auditorium of LOGOS Christian Academy served NewLife well for a few years before they had to prayerfully consider moving again.

During these seasons of growth, the Lord brought NewLife the opportunity to purchase 10 acres of land and begin planning their building project. They later told CDF Capital, “Little did we know the Lord was using this vision as a tool to get us started saving and investing.”

A New Pathway and Partnership

By 2023, NewLife became aware of a church that was leaving its property, and the Christian business owners wanted it to remain a church. God had forged an unexpected path forward for NewLife—they could forego the construction costs and instead purchase a turnkey facility in a fantastic location. Situated on the main highway entering Casa Grande, it afforded them greater visibility and opportunities to reach their community.

Along this journey, they encountered CDF Capital and saw the tremendous advantage of partnering with a gospel-minded lender to aid their property purchase and the many financial decisions they faced. Through CDF Capital’s financial instruction and guidance on how to execute the purchase of the facility, NewLife was empowered to make shrewd decisions—selling the 10-acre land for the down payment, leasing the children’s building to a local daycare, and raising funds for the facility’s equipment and furnishings to keep it move-in ready.

At each step in the process, NewLife was met with answered prayers. They were even able to move into the building prior to closing the loan. “We are grateful that CDF has chosen to invest in the Lord's work here in Casa Grande,” said the leadership. “It is truly amazing to be a part of a ministry that desires to fulfill the great commission by investing in the local church and the gospel.”

A Season of Miraculous Growth

Since moving to their new location in April 2023, NewLife has experienced growth akin to hitting the fast-forward button—people have been saved, baptized, and added to the church. Furthermore, they were able to expand the children’s ministry and begin a coffee shop to support community outreach and worldwide missions. Amazed and excited by God’s miraculous movement, they shared that “so many beautiful stories are connected to what God has done at NewLife. He is worthy of our praise.”

CDF Capital VP of Ministry Development Joe Graham was encouraged by NewLife’s faithfulness and prayerfulness at every turn in the loan process: “They always responded positively and went to prayer. They asked God to clear the way for them, and He did. I am eager to see how the church will flourish in their new location.”
