Brad Dupray Announces Retirement

Feb 11, 2026 | News

After 37 years of employment, Brad Dupray is retiring from CDF Capital.

Brad began his career with CDF in February of 1989 when the fund was a fraction of the size it is today. He’s held many positions throughout his tenure, including President, Chief Operating Officer, Senior VP of Ministry Development, and National Marketing Director. Brad’s final day with CDF will be June 30, 2026.

Brad’s entire life has been intertwined with the Church Development Fund. His father, Carl, joined the board of CDF in 1965. It was Carl who walked Brad to the CDF offices in 1971 and helped him open up his very first investment account. Between Carl and Brad, the Duprays have served this ministry for 61 years.

“I was a pastor who just happened to make loans to churches,” Brad reflected. “In my 37 years with CDF, I’ve been able to work with churches that reached tens of thousands. It affirmed that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more beyond anything I ever imagined.”

Brad holds a Bachelor’s degree from Pacific Christian College (a school of Hope International University) and an MBA from National University. He was ordained into Christian ministry by Knott Avenue Christian Church shortly after his graduation from Pacific Christian College. Before beginning his career at CDF, Brad ministered at three Christian churches in Southern California: South Gate Church of Christ, East Anaheim Christian Church, and Lawndale Christian Church. He also served in a two-year management training program at New York Life Insurance Company after completing his MBA.

Brad has served on the Executive Committee of the North American Christian Convention, as a columnist for six years for Christian Standard magazine, and as an elder at Crossroads Christian Church in Corona, California. He currently worships with VantagePoint Church in Eastvale, California, where he serves as a member of the board of directors.

He and his wife, Kathy, are the proud parents of three daughters, Suzanne (Beaudoin), Jennifer (Sothy), and Michelle (soon to be Estrada). They have one grandson, Leo.

Brad and Kathy have been married for 45 years, and Brad recognizes how critical Kathy’s support has been to his work.

“It’s not easy being the wife of the CDF Guy. She took care of everything while I was traveling throughout the country. She’s really the unsung hero of my ministry.”

Reflecting on Brad’s legacy, CDF President & CEO Eric Schroeder remarked,

“Brad’s love for the Church is evident in how he served churches over his career. I am amazed at how God used him at CDF and the thousands of people who have met and are following Jesus because of his faithful service. Brad followed God’s call on his life, and the fruit is the evidence. The Board of Directors, the CDF team, and I say thank you, and well done!”

Mark Briggs, Executive Vice President of Loans, was actually hired by Brad nearly twenty-five years ago. Mark observed,

“Brad Dupray’s impact on CDF Capital is significant yet immeasurable, as the ripple effect of his commitment to serving churches will far outlive us all. I’m grateful not only for the time and energy he invested into CDF, but also how he impacted how CDF as a ministry loves and serves churches. I’m indebted to Brad personally for his influence on this ministry and how it has shaped my life and career.”

In the coming months, CDF will continue to acknowledge and reflect on the impact of Brad’s ministry to the Kingdom. If you have a story or a memory you’d like to share about Brad, please email us at contactcenter@cdfcapital.org
