CDF Capital is excited to announce the hiring of Tommy Heaton as Vice President of Ministry Development. He will oversee field operations in the southeastern United States, including the states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Tommy was born and raised in Atlanta and is a proud University of Georgia alum (undergraduate) as well as a Georgia State graduate (MBA). His career spans church finance, banking, consulting, and, most recently, private equity financing in Atlanta.

Outside of work, Tommy and his wife, Heather, stay busy with their two children, Tucker and Annie, and their golden retriever, Champ. Tommy is active at Mt. Pisgah Church in Johns Creek, Georgia, where he sings in the choir and often leads worship. He enjoys golf, tennis, and cheering on UGA football. Tommy also has a theatrical side, having performed in roles like Daddy Warbucks, Gomez Addams, and Harold Hill.

Executive Vice President of Lending, Mark Briggs, said, “Tommy has considerable experience in lending and taking good care of his customers. Having the opportunity to use his experiences to serve church leaders excited him about this role.”

Tommy’s passion for churches and Kingdom work ultimately drew him to this ministry. He shared, “As long as I can remember, I have loved the church and sought to use my experience and skills in service to the Kingdom. It’s humbling, exciting, and a tremendous privilege to be able to do this alongside the gifted team at CDF.”

Tommy’s life verse is 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (NKJV).
