We need to be regularly reminded of how loved we are, especially when the busyness of the calendar tends to take all of our attention. When we feel like we are constantly putting out fires or running from one challenge to the next, we can forget that we are children of God and deeply cherished.
Pastors, ministers, and church leaders are as susceptible to this as everyone else.
When church leaders are able to abide in the truth of God’s love, they experience renewed purpose. And when pastors have clarity of purpose, the Church is primed for even greater Kingdom impact. Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that the Lord invites us into the work He is doing in the world, and it all starts with knowing whose we are:
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (ESV).
So how do we reconnect to the truth of God’s love amid the noisiness of our lives?
One way is through prayer.
James, in his letter to the early Christian churches, writes that prayer is crucial—both seeking God’s provision and praising Him for His blessings. When we are in need, we should not hesitate to ask God. When we are blessed with abundance, we should not delay in giving God the praise.
“Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise” (James 5:13 NIV).
This rhythm of coming to the Lord with both needs and gratitude helps leaders look to the Lord and receive God’s abundant love.

We speak against the enemy’s lies that busyness is the only road to success. We pray for our leaders that they may rest in Your presence and the reminder of Your love for them.”
