This Craft & Character event will focus on how to lead in today’s changing environment amidst COVID-19. This forum will provide attendees with a practical roadmap on how to: choose and maximize innovation, manage energy, navigate the future, communicate effectively across new media. The event is designed to give a backstage pass to today’s leading communicators by allowing attendees a guided, highly-interactive discussion.

Dharius Daniels shares how he hopes to equip others, “This is a one-of-a-kind event. We live in challenging times and we need to be creative with our message and our methodology. I want to invite others to join in this discussion with me, Carey Nieuwhof, Hosanna Wong and Steve Carter as we try to share wisdom and insights on this important subject of communication.”

Craft & Character started with the goal to help pastors ensure that their character leads the way. CDF Capital is committed to equipping pastors so that they can show up and bring their full selves to the platform whenever they preach and lead.

Author, Bible Teacher and Spoken Word Artist, Hosanna Wong says , “Right now we are all trying to figure out how to reach people. Our methods have changed but the mission has not. This is a very timely and important conversation. We are going to have an interactive conversation at what it looks like to hone in our craft, transition our craft and how to be people of character during this time.”

Craft & Character is a one-day event, open to pastors and faith-leaders. In addition to the one-day event, CDF Capital Craft & Character will be rolling out more resources in the coming weeks including a podcast launching June 2. From podcasts to video resources to cohorts and retreats, the CDF Capital team is dedicated to the life, health and ministry of those who share the gospel.

Speaker, Podcaster, and Author Carey Nieuwhof explains, “Things have changed an awful lot for communicators over the last few months. When you think about what the great disruption we are living through has done to you as a communicator, you are speaking to a camera for the first time in an empty room or you are speaking to a partially reopened room or you are doing a lot of online events. How do you respond and adapt as a communicator?”

CDF Capital’s Steve Carter reflects, "I remember as a younger leader getting the chance to sit in a few green rooms with pastors I deeply respected and admired. To hear them chop it up, to be able to ask a few questions and hear their honest responses skyrocketed my personal development as a person and preacher. I want every pastor to experience the same chance for growth and development."

About CDF Capital

God calls His people into a story of transformation. Since 1953, we have helped Christians and churches embrace their part in this story by providing the three kinds of capital every congregation needs for growth—Financial Capital, Leadership Capital, and Spiritual Capital. Church growth is about more than just attendance—it also involves congregational spiritual maturity, a culture of healthy leadership, discipleship-making, and more. At CDF Capital, we care about each of these components. When a church is properly resourced financially, spiritually, and in leadership, lives are transformed. We call this Transformational Capital.

About Craft & Character

Craft & Character is a new focus by CDF Capital for those who share the gospel. Led by Steve Carter, Craft & Character is about helping pastors ensure that their character leads the way, that they can show up and bring their full selves to the platform whenever they preach and lead.
