Irvine, CA – September 2016 – CDF CapitalTM, formerly Church Development Fund (CDF), announced the addition to its Ministry Development team. Steve Carr has been appointed as Vice President of Ministry Development for Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. He will report to Lou Myers, CDF’s Executive Vice President of Lending and Investments.

“It is such a pleasure to welcome Steve to our Ministry Development team, where he joins eight others who serve the US nationwide.” - Dusty Rubeck, President CDF Capital

Steve will serve as Bill McWhorter’s successor following Bill’s retirement at the end of July 2016.

“We have been blessed with having Bill as a part of the CDF family for these last 11 years and for his unbreakable commitment to the church. Bill has made a difference in the lives of so many he touched over the years and in the Kingdom overall,” said Lou. “We pray that God continues to pour His grace into Bill and Brenda as they enter this new season of their lives.”

Steve joins CDF after two decades in ministry and higher education. Most recently he served as Director of Advancement for Cincinnati Christian University (CCU) and as the university’s Director of Marketing and Communication prior to that during his ten-year tenure. In 2005, Steve planted and was a founder and teaching minister of Echo Church, an urban church in Cincinnati. He continues to serve as a teaching elder there.

He received his undergraduate degree from CCU and has dual masters degrees in ministry and theology from Cincinnati Bible Seminary and Xavier University respectively. In addition, Steve earned his doctorate degree from Gordon Cromwell Theological Seminary.
Steve lives in his hometown of Cincinnati with his wife of 17 years, Kelly, and their daughter, Kaelyn. A former collegiate soccer player and coach and now a marathoner, he has completed twelve races.

“It is such a pleasure to welcome Steve to our Ministry Development team, where he joins eight others who serve the US nationwide,” said Dusty Rubeck, CDF Capital president. “We recently announced our new name, CDF Capital, to reflect how we are transforming our ministry and mission to be wholly focused on helping churches grow.

We are fulfilling this calling by providing unique services that support the Leadership and Spiritual Capital a church needs to flourish along with the traditional Financial Capital CDF has been known for. Steve brings an ideal set of gifts and experiences to deliver on this promise to our churches along with his fierce commitment to seeing the Kingdom grow.”
